Launched in Canada June 2011, the Molson Canadian Red Leaf Project is a commitment to positively impact the Canadian environment in communities from coast to coast, incorporating tree plantings, urban greening projects and shoreline cleanup efforts.

In 2011, more than 2000 Canadians and employees participated in 2011, volunteering to restore community parks, plants trees and clean up shorelines. Collectively, we planted 100,000 trees across Canada, helped collect more than 129,000 tonnes of litter across 2,700 kilometres of shoreline as part of the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup.

Following the successful launch, the Molson Canadian Red Leaf Project grew from 10 to 100 events across the country in the summer of 2012. Passionate volunteers who came out to get their hands dirty planted more than 3,200 trees, removed nearly 280 bags of leaves and litter, more than 1,230 cubic metres of invasive species and almost 100 cubic metres of mulch.

While participating in a community greening event is reward enough for many people, many Molson Canadian Red Leaf Project initiatives come with an added bonus – a free ticket to attend a local concert taking place afterwards.
