The Golden Brewery, founded by Adolph Coors in 1873, is the largest brewery by volume in the MillerCoors network today and is one of the largest single-site breweries in the world. 1100 employees brew and package 11 million barrels annually. The can and glass manufacturing plants are located on the campus. The company also has a joint venture partnership with Ball Corporation in operating the nation’s largest aluminum can manufacturing plant with 300 employees and an end manufacturing plant with 100 employees in Golden. MillerCoors has a joint venture partnership with Owens-Illinois operating a glass bottle manufacturing plant with 260 employees in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
